I can't use a .htaccess file now Ive changed servers, IX told me I need to add to my php.ini file. Are there any good sites out there that will explain what to do? I've googled but it goes over my head a bit Shocked

I'd like to try and sort it myself without asking IX Applause

IX cant be a very good host if they don’t offer .htaccess/htaccess.txt Embarassed

In bluehost.com cPanel, it does it for you. No need for FTP. You should switch to Bluehost.com Karen - would be ideal for you as you have a few good sites! Bluehost.com = Excellent host blob8

Anyways before I could do redirects in cpanel I use to do them manually with the help of this page http://www.webconfs.com/how-to-redirect-a-webpage.php sunny

I could use .htaccess before on IX but I've had a problem with spam emails addressed to one person but going to another. They moved my account to one with a different control panel to help sort it out but now I can't use .htaccess Crying or Very sad
