It's yours.  You can put it any where you want to.  He He.  I was wondering the same thing myself.  Wouldn't it have to spin to gather data off of it?
I wouldn't think that you could harvest data froma static drive. Why don'r you buy one RB and try it?  Then let us know o=if it can be done without the HDD spinning.  Good idea Bobby.
