I D/L and installed Firefox ver 2.0.0.3 yesterday and when I click on the desktop icon I get the Screenshot instead of their home page. Where are all of the buttons and stuff?

| I don't understand your answer at all. I was asking about why I didn't get a homepage for Firefox when I D/L it. The screenshot that I posted is of no use whatsoever as a browser. |

Well it has a Google search bar, you can type in anything in the world you want. LOL
Bobby, Firefox just doesn't have a home page like some of the browsers with all kinds of links for news, entertainment and such. That doesn't mean it's worthless, the homepage is not what's it's all about. Like I said choose your own home page. I don't kown about you but I do most of my browsing with bookmarks anyway. But if you want a colorful page with a lof of links open any you really like and make it your homepage. Then when ever you open Firefox that page will display.
Do you have Bookmarks enabled? Go to View, Sidebar and click on Bookmarks. If you didn't import your bookmarks from IE during the install you can still do it. The Import option is under File.

Click on View => Toolbars and select Navigation Toolbar. I also have the Bookmarks Toolbar selected...
This will allow you to enter URL addresses in order to navigate the web. You can customize other settings too, such as to turn on the View => Status Bar. I also have the View => Sidebar => Bookmarks selected...
You can click on the Getting Started option:
Then when the Mozilla page displays, you can click on Customize Firefox to download and install any add-on feature that you want:
You can customize Firefox to fit your needs and tastes by clicking on the Recommended Add-ons as well as the other options, including the Plugins option and downloading and installing every option that you want:

How do you get to the Firefox Central page? Mine is as shown in the SS.
I've got to leave in a few minutes for the Doctor's, the Dentist's and maybe the Baker Man. Why not. It will make for an exciting day. I'll be back. |

Once you turn on the Bookmarks Toolbar like I mentioned above, you should be able to see the Getting Started button that is in the picture, which would take you to the Firefox goodies pages ...

Whoa!! The only reason that I'm getting Firefox is to open Blue's account again so he can post on RCF. For some reason that I forgot he couldn't open one at the same place that I had mine. He has his own e-mail address. Can he join RCF?
Another thing! I was going to e-mail you but I realized that I lost my address book when my HDD went poof. Can one of you e-mail me that informatiom please? |
