I had my PC built in November 04 and jux=st recently discovered that my "E" drive is a dual-layer DVD/CD burner. It is a Nec_DVD_RW ND-3550A. The SS below tells its specifications. When I right-click on a folder the following happens and I am unable to burn a CD on my "E" drive. Here is the sequence that I go through:

Did you place a CD or DVD in the burner before you clicked on the Drive letter???

I just placed a CD-R in the "E" drive and got this when I clicked on the "E" drive:

Incorrect function.
I guess you can't use the Sent To function to send files or folders to the CD/DVD ROM.

You can if you do this:
Go into "My Computer" Right click on your Burning Drive then Select "Properties"
Once the properties window opens select the tab "Recoding" then check the box "Enable CD recording on this Drive. |
