My Daughter-In-Law's husband, Mark, brought his new toy with him when they came to my home for Christmas. He had won it at a company Christmas party. It prints color or black and white photos from Memory Cards or other sources. It will print only 5 X 6 prints though. I went to Epson's web page and it sells for $99 For $129 they sell the same type of printer that will print four sizes of pictures. If I were going to purchase one I wouls pay the extra $30 for the more flexible one. Of course the beauty of these stand-aloe printers is that you don't have to have a PC to print them. Yes Jane, there are really some people that don't have a PC. While there are some extremely rich plutoctats that have as many as four , huh RB? I have 1 1/2 myself: One operating and one sleeping on the shelf as a backup. I have it in case my main PC has to be out-of-service I won't be out-of-service. When I finally got my DSL I had to install a (What ever that card is called) card to accomadate my DSL Modem. Now it is ready to spring into action if needed. It has Windows SE installed and has two CD/DVD burner drives on it. So if I have ot use it there will be no drop-down in service while the refgular PC is being repaired.
And yes Jane, there ARE still some PC users that don't have DSL. I will remember how much my world improved once I was finally able to get it here in my neighborhood. And the interesting part is that I don't pay any more for it than I was paying before for Dial-Up. Mine monthly charge for DSL is $19.95 the same as I was paying for Dial-Up. We didn't even have to give up any meals to afford it. |

Yes, I have four PCs, Bobby. There! I have admited it, OK? LOL One has to be considered a loaner and it's been out on loan now twice, both times being a life saver! At least that's what the loanees told me. LOL
I have heard about the stand alone printers but have not seen one in action. One of those neater than sliced bread type of utilities that shows up ever now and then! Does it print good pictures? Wonder what would be the cost per picture?

| I couldn't find an estimate of the cost per picture was. It prints fine pictures from Memory cards or cameras with much control of borders, background and other graphics. I was impressed with it's quality. |

Yes. It has a 2" viewing screen for this purpose. You can add graphics before printing the pictures. Mark put Santa Hats on several pictures that he printed. I wanted to watch how he did that but was unable because of my crippling immobility. Have I told you about my disabling leg injury? Answer no and I will give you a complete gagging description of everything about it. Go on. Say NO! I double-dog dare you. |
