Well I had the multi in then the basic/simple in but could not get the organizer to show up in easy mod.
So on the test board I did a dumb thing (don't ask me why) and decided to start over thought maybe something wasn't right.
Must have not took out something right cause now in trying to er-install the first one multi....It gives me
FIND FAILED: In file [templates/subSilver/posting_body.tpl] could not find:
name="addbbcode18"
MOD script line #180 :: FAQ :: Report
------------------------------------------------------
Even when I get this fixed on the test....I'm still stuck with....
when I try to download teh button organizer instead of it giving me the window to save it to my files it opens in the browser window.
I did see that I could save file as then take out the extra .html extension it adds. but that doesn't work. Nothing works, I cannot get it downloaded to where it shows up in EM when uploaded to the server. |

KeeKee, your Test board needs to be as close to identical to your Live board as possible. So it really didn't make much sense to start over. Your Test files need to be the same as your Live board files so that the Test installs will be the same on either board. If not, your Test installs will be meaningless and not be able to predict how the MOD install will go on the Live board...

O.K. Forget all above.
I have all 3 multi/simple/organizer mods loaded and ready to go.
Now I need first the buttons to show up on the test board. 2nd to figure out how to use the organizer.
Was looking at doing this
http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=218740&postdays=0&postorder =asc&start=45
but wanted to come over here and see if I could find a how to here. Sometimes I understand your instructions better. FIgured you explained it to someone on this board so thought would search. |

Well I tried what they had there to make them show but don't know if they would even try to show as I have a .........
Parse error: parse error, unexpected '*' in /mounted-storage/home4/sub001/sc11665-DVNB/www/blah/blah/includes/bbco de.php on line 95
I gotta find that program I downloaded sometime back that lets you load and work on php files and can see the line #.
Anyway help if you have the time please. |

KeeKee, what you need is the free Crimson Editor. Click on the Screen Shot at the site
Crimson Editor is a professional source code editor for Windows.
This program is not only fast in loading time, but also small in size (so small that it can be copied in one floppy disk).
While it can serve as a good replacement for Notepad, it also offers many powerful features for programming languages such as HTML, C/C++, Perl and Java.
Syntax Highlighting for HTML, C/C++, Perl, Java, Matlab and LaTeX. Also, it can be extended for other programming languages based on custom syntax files.
Other features include undo/redo, user tools, macros, spell checker and more.

I really don't remember seeing shadav's reply. That was very helpful. Between her instructions and mine, you should be able to get your BBCode panel organized nicely. It is simple once you understand the basics...

I was going to take a look at the bbcode.php file to find the problem, but I'm not really sure which forum you have this installed on. So if you could provide a text link to it, I could help you resolve this if need be...

I highly recommend 1st Page 2000. There aren't many text editors that are any better and this is a free program...

I was trying to follow the instructions to make the buttons show up. I downloaded the 2 files affected. Then after working on things and getting messed up I removed the files and re-uploaded the saved ones.
Weird to me is I'm getting the same error with the files being reuploaded as I got when I was working on them.
It's on the test board, I do have the three mods installed on all boards as EM put them in very nicely but am only working on the test board. Gotta get it right before trying to do the others

There was an extra end quote in the includes/bbcode.php file. I fixed it an now everything seems to be working correctly...
