Sounds like a neat program! I downloaded it and have the icon on my desktop, like they say you need to be prepared even if you never need it because when and if you do need it that's not the time to be doing a search with Google, downloading and installing.

However, I just deleted a couple of files and it failed to even find them Crying or Very sad

I may try more later but so far I'm not impressed.

This just doesn't seem right. I've deleted several files now, did a search and Restoration has not found a one of them!

I think I have it figured out. You have to remove the deleted file from the Recyle Bin also before doing the search! Otherwise I guess it's not considered deleted.

If you have to remove the deleted file from the recycle bin then why would you need a program? in the recycle you restore and it's back where it came from.

Unless you are suppose to be able to undelete even after recycle bin trashed it.

It sounds like this program allows you another layer of screw-ups before you reach the point of no return...

I use Shift-Del to delete files and folder so I can completely bypass the Recyle bin altogether, so I better be sure I know what I'm doing before I say yes the first time. I can't remember ever deleting a file or folder that I really didn't want to delete, knock on wood...

My biggest problem isn't deleting files, it's overwriting them. Once something is overwritten, it's done and gone, can't recover the old file. Text files aren't bad, but overwriting an image with a new one is a big oops!
