I try to do a bit of research on EVERYTHING, literally before I use it in any manner. So here's what my company says about both:
Pegasus

Eudora

Noe the Eudora I had was the sponsored version with NO ADs as the online stuff reads. Qualcomm no longer supports the product so the support seems to have been tweaked to not include my version now. No matter because Pegasus' support is weird. |

I had emailed my friend about Pegasus to get his opinion and just got an answer. Seems he no longer uses Pegasus, some sort of conflict when he switched to XP I think a couple of years ago, he now uses Thunderbird.

| Ooooooooooh Lady Rose. Well I don't know I am on XP and I'll keep you posted. I have yet to install Vista, so who knows. I usually don't need support on any email except for my domain email programs. I just like that Pegasus had spam stuff and I need that more than anything. We shall seeeeeeee. More playing yet to come.... |

Lady Rose, guess what? I opted for the system tray Pegasus to alert me of incoming mail ok. So the lil Pegasus is there and when the new mail arrives, it's wings fly up and down. Awwwwwwwwwwwwww.... I wonder if that is using any necessary resources? Anyhow, here's a screencap. Look in the upper right hand corner as my taskbar is on top of the screen. Odd I know but so am I. Whatcha think? 
I have not played with ALL those settings for the email notification, I just picked that one and the "telltale" window so far. Keep ya posted. |

Looks nice, LadyDi. Seems like a normal type interface too. Hey, you can add sound! LOL, the only thing I really liked about Eudora was the sound it made when it notified you of mail so I scrounged around until I found the file on the Net and I'm using it with Thunderbird.
I think you made a good choice. And yes do keep us informed.

Well that short lived toy is just that - short lived. It only works when Pegasus is minimized or you have other windows opened. I want to be like a notifier when the program is NOT running so I will know to log in and get messages. Cute while it lasted because the wings fluttering was kinda neat to see.
Found something I do not like, well 2 actually. BCC is on another tab as I may have said before. I like it inline with TO and CC. Also, when you create a new message, an options window ALWAYS pops with sending options. So irritating if all the options stay the same. I am so reading the help manual to see how to disable that un-nerver. |

Seems you would be able to set up all your options for messages in Outgoing Mail? Maybe Message Formatting? I don't see a need to have a box pop up every time you compose a message. That doesn't sound right. I don't think I've seen a mail client do that before.

Bull Corn!! They probably just heard from a few dummies that didn't have the sense to look around. That's the pits that one has to put up a pop up every dadgum time they type a message just for the stupid reason he gives. That would be enough for me to drop the program like a hot potato!
