No, it really shouldn't matter what size the image is. I'm going to install the Minimalistic template on my Test board and see if I can adjust the background image. Could you make your bg.gif file available for me???

Ok, I've gotten the background image to display in the Minimalistic template but I had to make some major modifications and a few syntax corrections. I completely removed the style code from the overall_header.tpl file:
| Code:
|
<style type="text/css">

http://www.subBlue.com

theme administration centre. When you have finalised your style you could cut the final CSS code
and place it in an external file, deleting this section to save bandwidth.
*/
/* General page style. The scroll bar colours only visible in IE5.5+ */

};

/* Import the fancy styles for IE only (NS4.x doesn't use the @import function) */
@import url("templates/Minimalistic/formIE.css");
-->
</style>
|
Then I uncommented the following line:
| Code:
|
|
<!--link rel="stylesheet" href="templates/Minimalistic/{T_HEAD_STYLESHEET}" type="text/css"-->
|
I changed it to this:
| Code:
|
|
<link rel="stylesheet" href="templates/Minimalistic/{T_HEAD_STYLESHEET}" type="text/css">
|
I also added an end column </td> tag after the ending </script> tag...
I also removed the following since it wasn't doing anything:
| Code:
|
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="100%">
<tr>
</tr>
</table>
|
Then in the index_body.tpl file, I removed the following code:
| Code:
|
<style type="text/css">
<!--
body {
background-image: url(images/bg.gif);
}
-->
</style>
|
In the Minimalistic.css file, I set the body like this:
| Code:
|
body {
background-image: url(images/bg.gif);
width:100%;
height: 100%;
}
|
I think that should just about do it for you...

LOL, that's pretty neat! But you have to be logged in to see that style. At least I did.

Oh I like that!
NR I was going to ask, where would I go to change just the background colour on my Diddle template?
I've looked at my Diddle css as it seemed to list the basics but wasn't sure.

Look in your Diddle.css file and find the following:
| Code:
|
body {
background-color: #FFF7C6;
scrollbar-face-color: #FFF7C6;
scrollbar-highlight-color: #FFF7C6;
scrollbar-shadow-color: #DE82E7;
scrollbar-3dlight-color: #DE82E7;
scrollbar-arrow-color: #DE82E7;
scrollbar-track-color: #FFF7C6;
scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #FFF7C6;
}
|
If you only want to change the background color, just change the hexcode for background-color. But if you want to add a background image, add the following line and correct the graphic file name in the path:
| Code:
|
|
background-image: url(images/bg.gif);
|
Make sure you upload the graphic to your Diddle/images folder too...
