It sounds like you are bound and determined to do it the hard way no matter what I tell you. I really don't understand why you think that FTP is worthless. FTP is your BEST option. If you use SmartFtp, you can upload all the images using the Global Queue option, which will guarantee that all of your files get uploaded no matter whether you get disconnected from your server or not. If there is a server disonnection, which happens all the time on every server I've worked on, SmartFtp's Global Queu would reconnect and continue where it left off...

Develop your web pages on your PC, then upload them. That is by far the best way to manage your website...

SmartFtp Global Queue Upload Instructions

In SmartFtp, to upload using the Global Queue option, right click on the destination folder on your FTP server and select Upload/Global Queue/Select...

Then click on the Add Files button to select all the files that you want to upload to your chosen destination folder...

Then click the OK button. Next, in the Transfer Queue tab at the bottom, click on the Start arrow and that will get the Global Queued Upload to begin and continue until the upload is complete, regardless of whether SmartFtp has to reconnect multiple times to do so...

Nr, I love FTP, I want it to work, but I can't get it to work. You'll have to help me. When I send images with FTP, they go into fisheadtackle/images, but when I try to get an image to use it isn't there, I have a whole new set of folders that are totally different. We need to figure out what I am doing wrong. I am not determined. I am in a rush to get pages up since I am getting traffic already. I get hundreds a day on my old site and might be getting that on new site, so hundreds of people are seeing nothing, please help.

In the above screenshot, noticed the url path are different also. These two directories should be the same, shouldnt they?

Its like, tell me where I am going wrong:

I need a page published, so what am I supposed to do?

I guess I will make a page in firstpage, then copy the code and take it to my sitebuilder,

I will open a blank page that says insert your own html;

I publish the page.

If I want an image, I send one by FTP,

then I try to insert the url, then no image shows up.

Nothing, nodda. It doesn't make sense to continue.

So I have to try other things until I, until we figure out where I am going wrong. I did manage to get some images uploaded with ftp, but when I started subfolders it quit working. It sends byut nothing shows up. I can explain this till I'm blue in the face and probably no one reads it all anyway. FTP isn't working, the folders don't match. Iyt sends stuf but my website builder can't find those folders. They are apples and pranges. So where the heck are those images? I am getting no where. I will go open up ftp next and I bet there is yet another set of folders that don't match. I will go do that and get a screen shopt and show you how nothing matches.

OK let me try, you have all your imges in folders on your server. You want to use that last image in the w_banners folder, the URL you would place in your HTML document, to create a link, would be:

http://fisheadcartoons.com/images/Banners/w_banners/Ad-dvd-bas-aug7.jp g

The path has to exact. You must use lower and upper case letters just they are in the file. No spaces

Since it's all underlined you can't tell that there is a _ between w and banners. The _ needs to be in your folder name also. NO SPACES

What is global que? Does that mean publish?

what is my destination folder?

I follow that part, I see SELECT in there but don't know which folder so I am stuck at the beginning.

Does anyone know which folder is my webpage destination folder?
