The $3.95 plan does not include a message board. It a great deal for web space but for setting up a message board you need the $6.45 plan.

$83.40US yearly converts to just over $107AUS which works out cheaper for me if i was to up my space with my current host. I am defiantely going to look into this host. Thanks for the info.

So, what do you think about their service? Maybe the reliability issues lately are a one off and people just like to have a whinge. I think you'll get this no matter what host you choose.

Except for one time when we were down for almost a day (apparently as much our fault as theirs) things have gone rather well. I think their service is fine. I guess Nightrider can better answer that though, he usually deals with them.

You do get mixed reviews on all web hosting, that's what makes it difficult to choose one. What makes matter even worse is that if look for a list of the top 10 you may find one list that has XXHost as the number one and another list will have XXHost as number 10.

All I can say is that for the first month or two I would not have recommended IX to anyone (and I told them so), things were really iffy, but I can honestly now say I would recommend them.

Right now, my biggest complaint with IX is that they don't employ enough phone tech support people, so the wait to talk to a human can be long. When you call, they tell you how many people are waiting ahead of you. It is easier to create a trouble ticket than to deal with phone support....

Another complaint that I have with IX is that their servers seem to fail more often than I would expect. The good thing is that they usually correct the problem quickly without a need to contact them. With our former host, they never knew there was a problem until we contacted them, so if we weren't around, RCF could be down for hours...

I wasn't initially thrilled with IX, but things seem to have improved. Hopefully that will continue to be true...
