When I go through the other method to burn a CD why does it select the "D" drive to burn with? How can the "E" drive be selected? Is the "D" drive the default CD burner?

Well now that you have removed the pictures you had up the first time I really can't point out where you change drives, but in the window where it shows the drive that is selected at the end of that slot is a tiny arrow, press that and there should be a list of drives installed on your PC. Choose the one you want.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Can you post a Screenshot to illustrate what you mean?

| I have never seen windows containing these boxes. How or where did you get them from? |

I got them using Nero Burning ROM. If you are using some other program than I can't point you to the specific window but as you prepare to burn a disc there must be choices along the way.
You ask a good question however, about a burner being designated as default. I don't know if that's done or where. Or how.
Is this the program you mentioned the other day? Not sure I can find the bookmark again or if I downloaded it. Post it again. I may have to install it and see what you're talking about.

Which program do you mean Rosalie Poo?
The solution to my question about the sequence that I mentioned and ending up with the "E" :\ not accessible. Incorrect function" prompt is:

Go into "My Computer" Right click on your Burning Drive then Select "Properties"
Once the properties window opens select the tab "Recoding" then check the box "Enable CD recording on this Drive.

It works now! It goes to Windows media Player to burn it ti a CD. I'm sur that there is a place that I can send the folder to a recorder of my choice for burning. I'll hunt around and see if I can find it. For instance I have Musicmatch Plus Power DVD and AvRack installed but seldom use AvRack or Power DVD. I know that there is some place to specify which you want to use to record with. |

Sounds like you have everything under control. Should I ever have a burning problem I now know an expert.

I'm still curious as to which program you are referring to. |
