Why would a scammer send this?
Dear Site Owner,
Â
A few days ago I discovered your website and it appears we have similar interests. I represent an online media developer who is presently in search of marketing affiliates for a number of his most successful websites. His interests center on entertainment; specifically, online gaming. Â
Â
I showed your site to this developer and he is eager to discuss with you the possibility of purchasing advertising space on your website. If you are amenable to this idea, please be in touch so we can iron out the particulars of the agreement.
Â
Kind regards,
Dianna Ryan

I would be very suspicious. I sure wouldn't click any links.
"I showed your site to this developer and he is eager to discuss with you the possibility of purchasing advertising space on your website."
So why doesn't the "developer" contact you personally?

| I did get one of these some time ago. There is no link to click on. I can only reply to the email. I think they try to get people to except a payment and ask for bank account number to make a deposit, then they clean you out. |
