97 percent of Intel testers recommend Windows 7

Intel recently posted the results of a study titled "The Value of PC Refresh with Microsoft Windows 7" in which it describes its experience while testing Windows 7 during the second quarter of 2009 for its own use within the company. As one would expect, Vista's successor received much praise. 291 Intel users out of 300 said they found that Windows 7 showed improvement performance and stability over Windows XP.

My guess is that they had similar results for Vista too, yet that proved to be a real dog like WME. I'm guessing that W7 will prove to be the 3rd M$ OS dud. IMO, if you are using XP now, stick with what you have and don't waste your money on W7. I'm sure you will be glad that you did. If you are using Vista and like it, then you should be happy switching to W7 too. W7 is simply a bug fix for Vista, nothing more...

Note how they are comparing W7 to XP rather than Vista. That should tell you a lot about Vista and its successor...

My w7 ap was approved, they will be sending it soon. For what it's worth, my new laptop vista seems to have improved since my last laptop and desktop. It really does have some good things, but they are drowned out by the bad. But for internet it is just fine. I don't know how w7 will be for a work computer and i won't know for sometime. But I will probably install it when it comes for my laptop just to check it out.

You know what sucks is that I really got screwed on my work computer, it caused me a lot of grief, lost time and lost money since I had to buy xp. So they owe me something for that, and since they are offering w7 to some newer purchases, they should be offering it to everyone who has vista that isn't happy with it. But they are now, so I feel they still owe me, and a lot more than just w7. The early versions of vista were much worse and this trouble was shared by a lot of people and businesses.
