I need a very large external hd, and fireproof box to store it in, then take it out to my external garage or over to my son's house. Thats on my wish list.
I still back up manually, my videos are so large and it's not that hard to back up the new stuff every week or two. I don't leave my external drives plugged in, so auto backup wouldn't work for me anyway.

I don't either, and I don't think I would actually truth automatic backups anyway. Doing it manually may mean the backup isn't up to minute but at least I know I have what I want. Or know what I have. LOL
