Hey, RB. Do me a favor and go to http://www.jigzone.com/puzzles/daily-jigsaw and see if the puzzle jumps around for you too. Move some pieces around.

I think it's me. I finally broke down and got IE8 and ever since, jigzone has been messed up. The puzzles here work fine. Maybe a fresh install of Flash?

EDIT - Well, Compatibility View works. I guess MS is telling us that jigzone is using an obsolete code. Anyhow, problem solved.

I still have IE7 would you recommend IE8?  Is there much difference?  I think they claim it's safer.

I guess so. I don't see a whole lot of difference. Haven't figured out how to unlock the top tool bar yet.

I just upgraded to IE8 and it kept my settiings.  Not sure what you mean by "top tool bar" but maybe press the tiny arrow next to the word Tools?  Where the hourglass is showing in my screen shot.....

Lay your cursor on Toolbars and you get a side menu listing the available toolbars.....  If you click Lock the Toolbars it will be locked.  Next time you bring up this menu that will say Unlock the Toolbars and clicking on it will unlock the toolbars.  Is that what you are looking for?

Yes! Yes! That's it! Who would'a thunk you'd have to lock the dang thing and then unlock it? I mean, I saw that. But if it's not checked lock, how come it's locked in the first dadgum place? Thanks, RB. I got rid of the Favorites Bar and squished my Google bar up with the File Edit View ... stuff, what ever that's called. Lots more room now.

I like the Google bar and don't really need this other search box. Wonder if I can get it gone too. I'll play with it.

And another thing! How come, when you Open In New Tab, you have to click the dang new tab to see it? Wouldn't you think you'd want to see the new page?

Why not just get rid of the Google bar and switch the search engine to use Google by default instead of Bing?  Wouldn't it be easier to switch your default Search provider than to try to rewrite the IE8 code and get rid of the built in search field???

When the Search list web page displays, click on the Add to Internet Explorer button beneath the Google Search Suggestions option:

Click on the Make this my default search provider option, then click on the Add button:

At that point, the default Search bar now displays Google instead of Bing:

At which point, you no longer need the Google bar that you installed...

The google bar includes the best spell checker I seen. And you can highlight all words in your search, or it will automatically scroll to and highlight each accordance of any of the words in your search. Pretty handy. I know how to use Find, but this has a button.

The IE address box is a search box too, as well as a history. You just can't open the results in a new tab or window.

IE has always been pretty cooperative in what functions you can show or not. I think there's probably a way to hide the search box. I just haven't found it. I can slide it over and squash it down little bitty.
