You're welcome. You can safely partition a HDD through Windows if that HDD is a 2nd one. Or THIRD! LOL
You can probably add partitions to your main HDD through Windows if the OS is already on it's own partition. Just don't mess with the C: partition!! Don't resize or move it! In your case I don't think I would do ANYTHING with the HDD you're using
What I have always done is partition a HDD first (create 4 or 5 partitions) and then installed the OS on C:
Get an external HDD, partition it, name each partition, and then have fun fill it!

And yes I have 3 HDD. That last one is an external one plugged into an eSATA port located on top of the PC case. I also have a 500GB external, a Maxtor, that only has a USB connection and it's slow as molasses in Winter.
I imaged a small HDD to it from a PC I was working on for a friend and it took 5 hours! That's more than ridiculous. That's insane. Course I hooked up that HDD to my 3rd PC and had to plug the Maxtor into an extension cord ... everything was so piggybacked I'm really not surprised it took that long.
eSATA is about 10 times faster than a USB connection.

Did you get it installed? Bob you have to have this program installed before the 24 hours is up. You only have about an hour to do that.
Read the Read Me file. This works a bit different from their usual offering. You press the Setup.exe file and choose where you want the setup files placed. I just put them in a handy folder, you can put it in a created folder in Programs if you want. Or the desktop even. Then you go there and press the 'EPMProSetup.exe file and it installs.
I think after you first press the Setup.exe you will get a box from Giveaway of the Day saying it's been activated and that's all you need, no number to plug in.

Yes! Definitely. Especially if you're going to image the partition the OS is on. I haven't looked, do they offer a version that would allow you to create a bootable CD. In exchange for some green paper?

Not to worry. The partition manager does copy also and with this Pro you can make a bootable CD. This from the EASEUS site:

OK. I fold my TP, I don't wad it. Now I'm all out of sequence! I took the new baby online and got the dl and I THINK I installed it. I expected to have to unzip it first. There is a Readme and a Setup. I clicked the setup and got an IE window that took me to the DL of the day site. I think I'm good but now I don't see the program anywhere! Time is up anyway.
