Yeah, I noticed you got the threads mixed up.  I would move the last few posts to the other one about the lost forum but I had already directed Blake, in email, to this one so I'll wait.

Dave, having the directories saved is not enough to get the forum back to the way it was, you would need a back up of the Database also.

Which reminds me I need to back up mine, it's been two days since I have.  I try to do it  once a day.

well everything seems to be intact inside. Maybe everything can be saved. I need to learn more about backing up, thats for sure. Maybe you can tell me how and I will start doing that when and if I get it back.

This is how you create Database Backups through phpMyAdmin.  You should get in the habit of creating these on a regular basis so that you can recover from just about any problem...

phpMyAdmin - Exporting a Database

In phpMyAdmin, select your current Live database in the left panel:

Click on the Export tab in the right panel:

Make sure SQL is selected and you can press Select All to make sure all tables are included:

Then in SQL Options, you would want to make sure that the following are selected.  You can also select Add Drop Table if there is a chance tha tthe tables in the destintation database already exist and you want to replace them...

Then at the bottom, make sure the Save as File and zipped or gzipped options are selected.  Zipped doesn't work correctly in my phpMyAdmin setup, so you may have to play around with the settings until you find one that works for you...

Then press the Go button at the bottom right and your Database backup should start in a few moments.  It may take a while to start if your database is large.  It is possible that neither zipped nor gzipped will work, so you may be forced to use Noen for the compression, which would make the download file much, much larger...

Next you will be given the Save As window where you can select the Destination for the Exported database backup.  Choose a destination that you can easily find and make sure there is enough space on the drive to handle the new backup file:
