I have a squido lens and it isn't making money and I am checking into it but I am getting a feeling it is a parasitic site that feeds off of others hardwork. I know people are making money in there, but for me to do that I must sacrifice content I have on my website.

I look around and I see links to other peoples products. Now this may or may not help people, it seems instead of going to the product they are detoured to someones squido. Squido pays a decent amount, I have heard some make 15-30 a month, but a website has no partners to share the money with and there is no limit to how much can be made, which is what I am working toward only to be tormented by others on how much they're making in squido.

I was going to try to make more squido pages, but after sleeping on it I think maybe I will delete my page. What I am thinking is the best way to describe squido would be a squid with tenicals sucking on other websites and diverting traffic to themselves, thus a parasite. Any thoughts?

I found this, still looking:

Is Squidoo becoming a massive, dirty SEO back alley?

Shortly after AdSense appeared, MFA sites started to appear. These are sites that are created for the sole purpose of making money from AdSense. Some of them contain genuine information and are useful, but most of them contain nothing of real value to Web users. The non-useful ones usually contain nothing but links to other sites - the links themselves being more AdSense ads - although some of them contain some real content that has been stolen from other websites. They are parasite websites that help nobody but their owners.

The scams take advantage of people who would like to make some money on the Web, but who are unable to make websites themselves. That description applies to most people.

I would like to make a response to your question, Dave, but I know next to nothing about stuff like this. Reading around and asking questions, like you are doing, is your best bet in finding out about sites like that.

All that is way out of my area.

rb, I have friends that have squido lens pages, I cannot show you because that wouldn't be right and I hate to single anyone out in squido, but if anyone reading this wants to check it out, look at some of the top ten lens pages and you may (not all) see how there is little or no content but all ads to other people's products. So visitors go to squido to get ads to go to the place they wanted to go to to begin with. Now is this usefull? Do they deserve to make money doing this? They don't ask permission, they just grab products and place their own ads and list in squido and google and many other places. Now some business may think this is a good thing that someone is helping them sell their products, and maybe it is, but a lot of others that do it right get the bad end of the stick. And it is not pleasant for shoppers to have to hop around all over the place going from ad to ad trying to get to the website with the product.
