Well I'm surprised no one has responded to your question, Karen. I really don't do much CD/DVD burning. At least nothing fancy. There used to be a good program that seemed to be popular called DVD Shrink and I looked for that one but it is no longer on the market. And even if you found someone that has the download I doubt it would work with Vista.
There are several programs that convert files to a smaller format but I don't think that's what you are looking for. I'll look around the Net and see what I can come up with.

I use adobe for all my dvd sizing right now but roxio also works, just not as good. They both come with their own set of problems but they do work fine with xp & vista just the same. I am using adobe elements premiere 3 and roxio 8. Both are buy versions though. IO use roxio 8 to burn all my copies and cds too.
There should be a windows program that came with it may work for most dvds. Mine are very large and its too much for most programs. I was just using a windows movie maker on my laptop to test it out and the second set seem to have froze up, thats vista for you.
My problems with roxio and adobe is they don't work right as far as the intial enter section, and they want to play continuously never stopping. Adobe is working ok after some tweaking and it doesn't repeat the movie anymore. Thats my last resort so I use adobe all the time now. |
