| all that is is vista, they just want time to fix all the scrw ups will take years. So people who have vista will be left with a broken product and windows gets away with it by renaming the fixed version. |

You know I never thought about it that way, Dave, but you're right. And if customers want a "fixed" OS they will have to shell out big bucks for a "new" version.

Since NT, almost all of the new Windows releases have been patched and updated versions of the previous version. M$ simply charges to provide fixes for all the bugs in your OS in each new release...
Vista is M$'s second ME. ME didn't do well either. Those who bought ME were really screwed. It appears that the Vista buyers are in the same boat...
