Expired? Are you sure you got the free version? snagitfr.exe
When you launch SnagIt you get a window to upgrade to the newest versios for $19. 95 but you don't have to do that, you can just close that window and continue with the free version.

| Now the other expired after 30 uses, and the free version for free is nothing. I don't know about snaggit, but it did expire after 30 days. Maybe I got the wrong version but thats the one I liked. I'll have to check it out. I downloaded gadwald again, I can live with that if nothing else. |

I know above I said snagitfr.exe is the download but it's snagit.exe. At any rate that is a full version of SnagIt and it doesn't expire. It's an older version, not the newest one, that's why they were giving it away. You may have inadvertently updated or upgraded at some point and ended up with a trial version of the newest one which is a paid version. That's why it expired.
If you want the older free version, the one you started with, let me know and I'll send you my copy of the download.

They don't rb and I think I downlloaded it before it expired, but not sure.

That sort of looks like the window I got when I first opened the free version.
When that free version was offered and you clicked to download a box came up for your email address. They sent you the registration code in email and after installing that free version you pated in the number they had sent in email. That's what all I had done and mine is still working.
Ever so often a window will come up asking if you want to upgrade to a $19.95 new version and I always close that window and just keep going.
Seem like if you want that free version back again, Dave, I would have to send you the download I saved along with the registration number they sent me in email. Let me know if you want me to do that.

The version I have installed. When I click Help > About at the top of the program this is what shows up: That is the number they emailed to me.
