Yep, that's what I thought. Selling Open Source programs is a direct contradiction to the whole concept of Open Source. OS is meant to remain free and freely distributable and since the source code is provided at no cost to anyone, anyone and everyone can modify the code to make the program even better for the entire community. That allows OS to improve much more rapidly than commercial software. The minute you are allowed to start selling OS code and commercialize it, it destroys the whole concept and development slows back down to a crawl. That is why compliance with the OS GNU licensing agreements is typically strictly enforced...

There's a lot of people selling that program on ebay. I would never sell anything that wasn't legal or if I wan't completely sure. I think some people read the one lincense and say thats close enough. I doubt they would ever get sued but it could happen.

I imagine there is some licenses that let people sell soem programs for profit, but not that convertor I bought. Anyway, I lost interest but I will be checking out more open source softwares to use. I did download a webpage builder but it wouldn't load, all I got was "sorry we have to close" error.

A lot of Open Source programs are better than the Commercial programs. So I generally opt for OS before I bother wasting money on anything else...

Well I understand why nr, after your explanation, and I will be a new fan checking out all the programs and if I need any software I will look there first.
