3.421s that time but the server load on your site is very dramatically different at different hours and when its too high some times the pages don't load.
It happens a couple times a week I guess. Most likely on the hosts high traffic hours.

Your load times seam to be wildly variable.
I never know what its going to be from one page to the next.
I'm thinking that it is some sort of load balancing thing that your host is doing.
Edit:
This time it loaded in 2.56s but then I clicked on edit and it went to 3.875....

There are over 800 MODs installed here, so depending on what they do, they can affect the page load times. You might notice at the bottom of the page, it will tell you the SQL and PHP page load percentages as well as the number of queries required to display the page. A page that has fewer queries is likely to load faster than one that doesn't unless the second page has a lot of graphics to display. The performance of the File and Database Servers can vary too based on server load. At peak times, the pages may load slower than at slow periods of the day...

Check this out..
You can see pretty clearly whats cramping your load times.
Perhaps you can relocate some of your slower loading image files to a faster off site server to increase your speed?
Just a thought.
In all fairness though I only ran that test once, so you might want to run it several times to look for consistencies in slow objects before you move things around...
