For some reason when I place the mouse on a link I don't get the address anymore. It used to be so that I could just place the mouse at the link and the address where it was to take me would show up. Now that ain't the case... This is happening in Opera 9.22. Does anyone know if there is a setting that I may have changed accidentally?

Are you saying you have the Status bar open and it remains blank when you roll over the link on the page? Or do you maybe not have the Status bar open?
Click on View at the top, place the cursor on Toolbars and make sure Status bar is checked.

It's checked. The problem is that when I put the mouse on a link on a page, usually the address to which the link leads is shown, but not now for some reason...

Have you tried rebooting yet? That fixed a similar problem for you not too long ago...

Yep! Have rebooted more than ever! That didn't help either. I have tried to look up the FAQ's at opera.com and nothing there... It's really annoying!

Seems someone else has the same problem. Don't know if the answer helps you any or not:
On a recent update, I believe to 9.0 for Windows XP, I notced a change
in that when I hover over a link with the mouse, the link's URL no
longer pops up in a tool tip. I haven't been able to find a setting to
make it show the URL; does anyone know how to do so?

Answer
It is tied to whether you have the Status Bar showing or not. The idea
is that the Status Field, which is normally in the Status Bar, shows
enough of the URL that it's not needed in the tooltip.
If you want to see the URL both ways, you'll need to put a Status Field
in some other bar and turn the Status Bar off. I use the right side of
the Main Bar for status, the buttons I actually use are on the left.

But if you turn the status bar off how then can you see the URL for the link that you hover the mouse over???
