Dave you may have both type connections but I doubt that you are getting both type HDDs. I'm not sure what you are getting.... They can't seem to make up their mind what's included in the package. You didn't have a choice of type HDDs when you ordered?

EDIT: Well DUH, it says in both places it's a SATA! LOL

Dave it has integrated Video (onboard--mobo), you may not like that for they type of work you do. You may have to get a good video card unless you already have one you can use.

On the other hand the NVIDIA: GeForce 6150 chipset gets great reviews! So you may be pleased with it after all.

I was looking at another pc simular but it had an integrated intel and less ram, so I picked this one. I think I'll be ok. TThe other one had a pentium, and the pc was the same price. My son said he hears people say they like the amd. I have one on this laptop but its small and slow.
