I've uploaded some camcorder footage to my pc but I want to change the extention to mpeg or .avi so I can host it on phototbucket - what is there out there that can do this?

I recommand SUPER. I think it's super. LOL You can read about it here:

However trying to get a download from the site can drive you nuts! I don't know why they do that, they take you from page to page. I uploaded it to our site for someone else that got fed up trying to download it and I'll give you the URL for it, Karen in the next post.

Start by selecting the Output Container (.avi for instance). When you do most of the other setting change automatically and I just leave everything the way it is. Heck I wouldn't know what to do with them anyway.

Then you drag your file into the window at the bottom and press the Encode (Active Files) button. A green progress bar appears above that window, depending on the size and type of file and output it may take up to an hour for it to encode your movie. You will need to designate a folder for it to put the encoded movie into so create that first, maybe on the desktop, and you can even store your original there. Otherwise the program will use your Documents and Setting directory to store your outputted file by default..

When you get ready to use this program, if you choose to use it, and need help just let me know. I'm no expert but I have used it a few times. It will NOT encode Google movie extentions, .gmv I think.

Right Click anywhere on the program interface to get a menu, choose Output file Saving Managment. In the next window choose where you want the Output to go. Mine goes to a folder named My Videos on my desktop

Aww well I love it! Maybe it was him and not the program itself, although its not very clear when you look at it, it was your instructions that helped me headbang
