I used the sequence shown with my SS but nothing happened. I put the URL shown above the video into the box at the top of the VideoDownloader program and clicked Download but nothing happened. What am I doing wrong?

Hummm, there are so many variations between PCs and browsers it boggles the mind. I don't get a URL at the top of the pop up with the video in ANY of my browsers, really surprises me that you do. Since you did have a URL it should have worked for you. This is what I get after clicking which view I wanted. And I got the same with Firefox, IE and Netscape. No URL
I have found Firefox and IE to be the best for capturing a movie. Which browser is best depends on the movie and how it shows. The memorial one does not show in my browser, it shows in a popup with no URL.
Did you see this about Firefox written a way down in the Downloader? I used Firefox and the little movie saving icon at the botton of the window.

Using Firefox, after selecting which view I want I click the Save Movie icon in the bottom corner of the window:
And then I get this:
"Right Click and Save Target As" may work for you but it doesn't for me, I paste the URL into a download manager (Flashget) and save the movie that way. There must be a 100 ways to save movies off the Net but usually only one will work for a particular site. At least for me. Finding the right way can be a pain! These sites are always trying to outsmart the PC user.

Hey Rosalie. I'm still plodding along trying to figure out two things about playing and Downloading the funeral home memorial videos. I have a couple of qusetions that may help me. 1. Where did you obtain the link:

Here is the download link for the movie, Bobby
http://4fxearth.net/media/wmv/SandraFraser.wmv
|
?
2. What version of Windows Media Player do you have? I have version 11 and there is no support for it yet from MS. Would ypu suggest that I roll back to ver 10?
3. Would you suggest that I D/L and install Firefox and try viewing the video with it?
I'm still trying to digest what you said already about getting the URL for D/L tthe video from the funeral home. |

I D/L Firefox ver 2.0.0.3 and got the window shown in the SS. I got this Firefox page. Should it not have appeared similar ro IE or Netscape? I also attempted to install the VideoDownloader 1.1.1 that is lower on the VideoDownloader page. but without success. When I click on the D/L link
where shoulf it go? I clicked on the "Save" button. Wherre should I save it to?
I finally figured why I have trouble understanding your help. We don't have the same OS and I don't get the same things that you do. For instance I don't get this:

Bobby, open Firefox, paste this URL in the address bar at the top and hit the Go button. Or the green arrow at the end.
http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php
Then go down and press on the Install Now button. The next page will explain what should happen and give you an install button. If it doesn't install and the icon does not show up at the botton of the Firefox page than I'm out of ideas.

Bobby asked:
I uploaded the movie to our site (4fxearth.net) and that link goes to the movie on our site.
