I was suppossed to already have Vista, but then my dad thought it's better when school is finished. He's scared I won't make my homework otherwise.
I'll be getting Vista Ultimate with my new PC. Mainly for DirectX 10 cause I'm also taking a nVidia Geforce 8800 GTX with it. |

Wow Jace, sounds like you're going to have a neat setup! I'm sure you're going to enjoy it.
How have you been doing by the way, don't see you here very often any more. We have a new member that's about the same age as you are and he too is a very bright and likeable young man. He lives in the general area of your neck of the woods. Well.... when you consider we're talking about the whole world he is practically your neighbor! LOL

Jace, once you get Vista and have used it a bit let us know how you like it. It's a good thing you have a new PC to run it on because I've heard there are some problems running it on an older PC.
I've also heard it's "pretty".

| As I told you earlier, I just bought a PC with Vista - Basic Home version on it. I would not have gone out and bought it or chosen it but I didn't have much choice. I am just learning to use it and all of it's features a but it does seem to have some good points. I'm sure that the Premium Version will have many more features than this Home Basic version. I'm slowly customizing this Vista to resemble my Windows XP OS in actions and appearance. I'll know more about it in a few days. |

Look what I found! I'm not sure what he "D" drive is for. I guess, as a last resort, I'll have to read my manuals and discover about it's function.

I think the D: drive has your system restore files on it. I think all the newer PCs come with that partition now. Should you host your C: drive you can restore the system using the D: drive. However, all your "stuff" will be gone so I would try to avoid that if I were you. LOL
Looks like if any of us go on to Vista we will have an expert right here on RCF that can help us figure it out!

So far I have just been able to barely accomplish the bare essentials with my new Vista. I'm going to have to stay away from the PC and read some of the literature that came with my new PC that explains how to use it's features. |
