Mrs. Bobby installed another 512MB Crucial memory module this morning. She had a difficult time getting it to seat properly but both upper and lowe clips went into their notches in the memory module. But when I tried to start my PC nothing happened. After troubleshooting all the connections it still would not boot up. I took the new mwmory module aout and tries to boot it again. It then booted. Since she had such a difficult time getting the module to seat correctly the though crosed my mind that they (Crucial) might have sent me the wrong module. I have a Gigabyte GA-7n400-L Mobo and this 512 184 pin UNBUFF DIMM 64MX64 DDR shows to be the correct module for my Mobo. The module has a notch on the edge with the contacts on it that has to line up with a corresponding raised pip in the Memory Slot. I noticed that the installation instructions say that 20 pounds of force has to be applied to seat the module correctly. Does anybody have any solutions or suggestions? I will not accept the "Slap Mrs. Bobby around a little" as a constructive suggestion.

PS. My memory slots are 2 orange and 2 Blue. One 512 MB memory stick is already installed in one orange slot so I installed the new one in the other orange slot.

Let us know how things go after you ONCE AGAIN remove the memory module. Does it now boot up?
