L@@K Dave!

Would you be interested in this?  And it's free!  The download is toward the bottom of the page and a bit further down you can download the plugins you want or all in one zipped file. At the very bottom are several other free tools. I have not tried any of this so can't  comment one way or the other on any of it.  What burns me up is that all the tools always have gobs of info on burning or backing up the DVD but skim over all the rest.

My son might be interseted, he messes with that stuf, I don't want to talk about here, but thats not what I do.

I tried firing up the old pc to copy that disc for u but it wouldn't work. Its on its last leg and fell, wouldn't do it. I tried in main pc and it wouldn't work there but I expected that. Its my cd burner in old pc, its broke and I need a new one. I checked and can get one for about 20 bucks. I may do that, cause thats my cd copier for hard to copy cds.

I do have a standard roxio 6 but I haven't seen it and wouldn't like having less. I need to get one and maybe i can copy some discs for you.

I read the previous page, made me think, I know you know this but:

My movies are around 4.5 gig each. Thats about one hour h-quality. I have several movies, I have the sections I made for movies, I have about 60 hours raw footage, I have other videos like the mill, extra footage, family footage, and before you know it I ran out of hard-drive and as you know I had to install another, it is 300 gigs and I still have to watch how much I put on, I have to maintain the videos by deleting extra copies etc. and I usuall only work on one movie at a time so I won't run  out of HD. Thats one reason I don't split my HD, I need it all.

So be carefull with those movies. One day you may open a movie and crash your pc. You have to take video stuff slow mo, takes lot of time loading, try to keep the sections 15 minutes or less. When you put them back together you can't tell it was split.

The fast video, I don't know, haven't had that problem. Sounds like the timeline was shortened somehow. Sometimes you can save as two pass because video process can error and miss bits here and there. Two pass rendering takes twice as long.

Thanks for the tips, fishead.  Yes, I remember about the passes in Nero I think it was.  Also in Ulead Movie Factory there is an option button you can press that "recovers missed bits of  .... something or other .. had to do with both video and sound.   I may try that next time just to make sure nothing is missed.

Thanks again for your tips and help.  I'm letting all this rest for a while, there is other stuff I really need to get to.  For one thing I need to get the rest of the VCR tapes relating to several years of a family reunion transferred to DVD and then make copies.  I figure in all, for this particular series, I will need at least 40 copies!  Man! they better be prepared to pay something for these DVDs.  At least a couple of dollars each.
