hey knite rider, you helped me clean up my bbcode buttons in the past, but when i installed the code they didnt work. They looked good but when i clicked on them they didnt work. could you see if you can take another look at the code and see why the buttons werent responsive?

ive installed mods since then so ill relink you to the files you edited and ill provide the old ones to.

Hey MistaChy! Welcome to RCF...

I compared the posting_body and cposting_body files that you provided and found the only difference in the two is that the Simple Subforums MOD code is installed in one and not the other. That would not cause the problem that you are describing...

I wanted to compare your bbcode.php and cbbcode.php files but the cbbcode file is actually your lang_bbcode.php file. So can you provide the actual current bbcode.php file that you have working right now???

The files that we modify to organize your BBCode panel are the posting_body.tpl and includes/bbcode.php files. So once you can provide a current copy of your includes/bbcode.php file, I should be able to pinpoint any differences that might cause the problem that you are describing. Since the posting_body.tpl files don't appear to be the problem, the chances are the problem is in your includes/bbcode.php file...

actually i think the code that you altered for me I have to redownload. You have helped me out with so many problems, i forgot what post it was that you linked me to the code.

do you think you may be able to help me organize my buttons? or would you still have that BBCODE file still loaded on your server?

Which files do you need in order to organize the buttons?

We can just organize what you have now. I would need the includes/bbcode.php and posting_body.tpl files. Those are the only files that need to be modified to correct the formatting each time you add a new bbcode button...

also, do you think it would be hard for me to install this rain bow color thing that changes the color of your fonts? i really like that. do you know where i can get it? and once install it... will it affect the way my BBCODE buttons are arranged? cause there is a drop down font color thingy.

one more questoin... how do you keep spammers from registering. i installed a mod that only puts the name in the memberlist once their account is activated, but they still register pretty easily.

i also installed the mod that asks are you human question... but they still seem to register with that too. their main purpose is to put a link to some website on the member profile.

the only way i know how to stop this is by admin activation instead of user activation. what do you do to combat this issue?

I would try BBProtection.
It's rather good Very Happy

I used the VIP code mod and that's stopped them completely headbang
