I have a bunch of songs that I D/L to a Music folder on my PC and want to burn then to a CD or DVD. I don't recall ever seeing a Music DVD. If a DVBD will accomadate music then it will hold a larger voluum of songs.

Yes, you can burn music on them but don't expect it to work in CD players. There is a difference between storing songs as data and storing them as music on a CD. If you burn music to a dvd, you can then access the music on a computer, but not likely on another device.
Can You Burn Music on DVD-R Discs?
Personally I have never tried it. The last time I tried burning something to a DVD it was such a disaster I ended up with a pile of coasters I gave up and never went back! LOL

Yes you can Bobby but as RB says you can't play them in your CD player.. But if it's just for backing up your documents ,it's fine

I have never tried it (or at least I have never successfully gotten to that point) so I can't say first hand, I can only quote from that link I posted:
"If you burn music to a dvd, you can then access the music on a computer, but not likely on another device."

I tried burning music from a folder to a DVD but was unable to. I tried using Windows Media Player but it didn't offer the DVD burning option. Next I tried Nero Burning Rom and Nero Express but neither of them would burn a DVD either. Is there another Nero application that you would recommend me using?

Did you choose DVD at the very top first? Looks like Nero is ready to burn a lot of stuff .... you can make a MP3 ... what does the Encode Audio Files do?

I just have to say something. My roxio 6 & 8 work fine with windows, and my windows burners all work fine, all those problems I had went out the door with nero. Not only did nero not work properly with my windows and roxio, they lied to me telling me I had to use their software to burn lightscribe, and I found out about the lie after a few frustrating weeks trying to get their nasty software to work. You guys taught me alot but you are wrong on this one in my oppinion. I guess if one doesn't burn large DVD movies thay are ok with nero. One last note, my son is using my roxio 6 and is happy to say this lets him copy any DVD movie out there he says. He loves it as I do. The roxio 8 has all their problems solved, nero is still trying to fix theirs. I hope they go out of business for the trouble they caused me. The deal was I bought a DVD burner and HP, the brand, made a deal with nero to lead people into thinking they needed it and they then asked for logs using people as guini pigs. I wish I hadn't sent them anything. It all ended with my reformating and I found out there is a small link to lightscribe they hid on the design page. I found it and found out I used nero for nothing, and sure thing labler was also missleading, they use a small text link hard to find on main page, whereas the version that came with nero shows a large burn icon right in plane site. I hate nero. Never again will I use it or let it on any computer of mine.

Thanks for the input, Dave! Good to know.
The one time I did burn a lot of music (4 CD disc at one time) I used JetAudio, there is a free version. I also used it to make few small audio clips. Although it looks like a massive program it was actually rather easy to use.
Since Bobby had such good luck with Real Player he need to stay with Real for burning music I guess.
Thanks again, Dave, for your comments. Valuable and viable information when it comes from experience.
