That's what I want to do next, install EM in my EasyPHP folder on my PC. I doubt that that's what I would be doing but you know what I mean. Would it install in the phpBB2 folder? Or the admin folder? Gee, so many folders, so little knowledge...... LOL

EM Installation Instructions
If you haven't done so, here is the EM Installation Read Me and a Supplement that Nux created. It would be good if you read it now if you haven't already done so:
- ReadMe for EasyMOD beta 1 (0.3.0)
- EM Installation Supplement
Now, do the following:
- Create a mods subfolder in your admin folder
- Upload the entire easymod folder, including all 54 files and 5 folders, to the new admin/mods subfolder that you just created using your favorite FTP application. My favorite is SmartFTP because it is powerful and free...
- Once the files are fully uploaded to your FTP server, run the the EM install in your browser. The path may look something like the following in your browser. Make sure the path is exact, including font case. MODS is not the same as Mods or mods:
| Code:
|
|
http://yourdomain.com/phpBB2/admin/mods/easymod/easymod_install.p hp
|
There are about 6 Steps in the EM installl. For each page displayed, scroll to the bottom. If there is a button, keep pressing them until EM says FINAL Step on the last page and there are no other buttons on the bottom of the page. Many people quit too soon before EM is fully installed, so don't make that mistake.
If all goes well, EM should now be installed
If you run into any problems, don't hesitate to ask for additional support...

Still reading but the easy mod folder only has four folders unless you include the one in includes.
Shouldn't there be one called Parent Folder? I don't have that one.

I extracted the files from my downloads folder directly into the mods folder. Does this look right?

LOL That reminds me of the caller to the Tech Support person who can't figure out where the Any key is when told to press Any key to continue. The Parent folder would be the folder that stores a current folder. So if you had an Apps folder on your D drive and inside of it, you had 3 folders, local, system, and internet, the Parent folder for the local, system, and internet folders is the Apps folder. The local, system, and internet folders are the children of the Apps folder...
What you have above looks correct...

K, I have the setup that DogsAndThings told us about. My PC is the server, the forum is not on the 4fxearth.net site. I'm not using SmartFTP to read the files they are on my HDD. Is installation of EasyMOD the same? This is what I have, I know easymod_install.php is the file I need to run but how ....... where??

Even though Nutzzy developed EM, he quit the project and phpBB a couple of years ago. I think he left because so many of the phpBB Staff attacked him and EM mercilessly. They made life so difficult for him, I don't blame him for leaving. What you have in your screenshot looks correct...

Yes, the install should be exactly the same, except that you will be installing this on your PC rather than on someone else's computer on the Internet. I imagine that the path to your board would be something like this in your browser:
| Code:
|
|
http://127.0.0.1/phpBB2/admin/mods/easymod/easymod_install.php
|
I need to do this too so that I can see what you are seeing...
