I am saving these as mpeg1, then I insert media in webbuilder, no choices, just says media and icon shows a roll of film.

I save these at about 300 px wide for the web with movie shop. I have many options, but if I choose to output to cd, I get a larger dimension, like 500 px wide, thats just adobes way, they all vary when listing outout quality.

I see two icons in my list of movies I have on my site, (this is in sitebuilder in the folders) it shows two icons, one is wmp and other.

I don't how this happens, I don't have an option to choose, so it could be one of two things as to why there is two formats, one is it could be the larger size for cd output that is the format not wmp, and when I save at 300 px mpeg it shows the wmp format.

Anyway here is a screen shot of my sitebuilder-

And I added both formats to this page, could yoou check to see if either one shows up in your browser?

Now I wonder if the way the url links don't work right in here, maybe thats the broswer also? If I add the [url=][/url] it never works in here so I just paste the adress only and that works.

All this broswer conflicts are a pain, they need to all get on the same page.

Both players work for me in Netscape.

Fishead, if you are only going to post a URL you don't use the URL tags, just past the URL directly into the message window.   You use the tags if you want a line of text to show and the URL is hidden inside like this:

Fishead's Web Site

You would type the line of text, highlight it and then press the URL button at the top, you would get this:

[url=]Fishead's Web Site[/url]

Then you would paste the URL between the = and the ]   Click so your cursor is blinking in that tiny space, right click and press on "Paste".

OK rb, I inderstand. I was just wondering since someone said a link didnt work in here yesterday.

Those movies are too big for my site. It takes a long time to load now, my sitebuilder. I can see why video sites are going with flash, there is a limit to the movie files I am finding out. I am alowed a lot of space and bandwidth, but I imagine I am 3/4 full already since I added a few movies.

No, this is not a browser problem.  The problem is that you don't understand how to use the [url=][/url] bbcode tags, so they never work right for you...

For example, you used this above, which is clearly wrong:

Code:
[url=]http://www.fisheadtackle.com/Eric.html[/url]

So to fix this, you could change it to this:

Code:
[url=http://www.fisheadtackle.com/Eric.html]Add your Subject Here[/url]

Which would display like this:

Add your Subject Here

Notice that your URL goes after the equal sign, not between the [url=][/url] bbcode tags...

[doen't show movies] - I think that is a huge mistake and they need to fix it right away because movies are exploding in popularity on the web.

Opera displays movies.  So I don't know why the movies on your site are not displaying...

I think there is three main movie players, windows, quicktime and real. I know hubble site uses real plaer, but do offer QT version, so the real player must be good even though I trouble with it myself. My new site mentions real player so I will be finding out more about this format.

Anyway, my browser does open all movies now, even real and QT opens in WMP. Then all these new movie hosting sites seem to have their own players/format. Check out www.liveleak.com, they still offer three different formats, I think they are phasing them all out but the flash movies.

Oh ya, on my site I have no option, it is wmp only. Another reason to get away from homestead.

I'm pretty sure that I can view movies designed for QT, Real, and WMP in Opera.  My problem may be that I'm running an older version of WMP.  If the movie is designed only to run in the newer version of WMP, then I wouldn't be able to see it in Opera or anywhere else on my PC...
