Its not just me, roxio just doesn't work, but neithger does nero, adobe, sonic my dvd, my movies and a few others, none work right. The only thing that does work for me is roxio 6.

I burned maybe 10 dvds with My DVD by sonic, then errors everytime. I read the help section and they keep saying I need to upgrade for $50. I think HP put in some secret code to force this buy on me. They maybe kick everything else out too, if I am to believe nero.

A couple days ago I tried finishing a movie in adobe prem elements, which it can do but not really what its for. It turned out fine, but took hours to burn. So I treid it again last nite, and added a menu. Well it failed, and after reading in MYDVD help again I see they claim adding moving menus may cause failure to burn and they say just keep trying. Well those dvds I use cost a dollar each, numb brains.

So today I am going to install the old roxio 6 since it is the only thing this computer will burn DVDs with.

I am looking to buy a new burn program, but theres nothing of any good that I know of yet so searching, still, years later after being let down by roxio and nero and all the rest.

For the record, I went in and tried to again update all drivers and all are up to date, so take note nero, and quit blaming others. In the reports above people mention nero as being even worse.

I wish I had the money to get away from all this crap, but minimum is $200 for adobe's better video program I found on sale somewhere.

I wish you luck, fishead, with Roxio 6. You sure do need one good progam that will do all that you want. As much as you mess with graphics and videos you need the best.

I really should move all these posts together since google has it listed.

I couldn't get rox 6 to acknowledge my burn drives. Thought maybe they were being clever by not listing them since its a ebay version (I sold my original rox 6 and now the guy is selling copies under my name) but after installing roxio 8 I was able to access help and read where there was a fix for my problem, but haven't tested it yet.

I did install the roxio 8 again even after all my troubles, and thios time the updates were different and automatic, so I will retry rox 8 again with a new attitude with confidence. I was looking and did find a simple program to burn movies I hadn't tried before when nothing else works. We'll see, and I will keep posting my adventures.

Thats kind of spooky about google picking that up what I said, we really should be carefull what we say since nothing is deleted from here. thats why I keep deleting my forum, to keep google from picking up on it and thus stealing my name in website, toons etc. I do still want a ppb forum like this so I get the traffic instead of probord. I could do it anytime, my brother has a website he's not using with domain name etc, all ready to go but I just haven't had the time with babysitting, but working on it, I have 20 months to go before my HS website runs out, I want a few months to use HS as a traffic redirector to new site. Its a coming, slowly but surely.
