I don't think I messed with Gator but only because I had already been burned by BonziBubby! What a evil little devil he turned out to be. Cute as a button, he would roam around your screen talking to you, telling you about news, software, all kinds of stuff, asking you if you wanted to go here or there, swinging from a vine, if you were on the PC at 3am he would yawn and ask you what in the world were you doing up so late. Sooooo, he was very intergraded into your system and knew what time it was and exactly where you went most often.
Man! He was the devil to get uninstalled! When I did finally find a place that told how to get rid of him it turned out he took a couple of system files with him! I wasn't sure until I visited the BB site and started reading around, turned out they were offering the two files for download so you could replace them saying how sorry they were for any inconvenience.
