I accidently posted twice this morning but could not figure out how to delete the unwanted one.  How do I do it?

Aha!!  I just answered my own question.  Well in way I did.  When i posted the two identical posts I did not get "Quote",  "Edit" and "X" at the top right.  On the last post that I just posted in response to Katy's post it DID have all of them.  Why?

I'm not sure I can answer all of your question but the reason why you had the option to delete after Katy's post was because it was the last one.

When you double posted the first post would no longer have the option to delete because it had been responded to (with the second post), however, your second post should have had the option to delete.

Once a post of yours is responded to you no longer get to delete it but you can edit it..

Yes, but instead you might just want to edit the post. Removing a post can cause confusion in some cases.  By editing you can remove all the text and replace it with something like "I have reconsidered and decided I did not want to post the message I had here so I removed it".  Something along that line.  Or just simply "I have removed my message."
