I was told about it in email and the person was trilled at the way it worked.  As for me .... I don't know if I want to install it, I'm kind of leery of messing with Windows programs.  I don't quite understand if TClockEx replaces the default clock or alters it.  Also I don't understand what the author means about the date not displaying. If you mouse over the time, the date appears.  If this program displays all they say all the time, in real time, than it sounds like it takes up too much room.  Heck the icons I have there take up plenty of room already!

This author of this program wrote it out of frustration at the taskbar clock for not showing the date. His nifty little freeware program, TClockEx, changes that, and adds more features to it, as well. It lets you change the font size and color of your clock; you can display available memory and system resources; you can even use the program to copy the date to your Clipboard. This update, which includes bug fixes, will give you a warning if the Windows Resource Meter applet is not available.

Tried it and don't like it. Just puts the time and date over your time in the bottom tray. Yuck, uninstalled it.
In my opinion....don't bother.

Thank you, Gray Dragon, for the comments!  It's always good to get feedback on programs, positive or negative.

I'll put TClockEx on my "Don't Bother" list.

You are welcome,
Hey, get with Chrissy over at Jaddon. I sent her a clock which you may be interested in. It doesn't mess with the time in the tray and actually looks like a clock....try it.
I would send it but can't find where I put it..... dontknow

Thanks, Gray Dragon, I'll have to check with her, it may be better than the one I have.

The one I have sits in the corner of my screen, although you can place it anywhere. I use it for an alarm clock, having it set for specific times to remind of things that need doing like take a pill at a certain time.  When it gets to the presets time it throws up box telling you what you need to do.  There is a paid version and a free version.  The free does almost the same stuff as the paid version.

I also have a timer I launch when I need it, I actually use it quite a bit.  Like setting it for 20 or 30 minutes to remind me I have clothers in the dryer for instance. You can have it alarm or play music, I have it set to play music.

I don't know if it will be better. I have installed yours and like it also. What I like about the one I told you about is that it looks like a clock and there is a bizillion different looks for it.
Try it and let me know. I am experimenting with the one you are currently using and so far I do like it.
Thanks for letting us know about it.

I like the timer also.  That is really neat and useful.

I downloaded the one Jaddon linked to but have not yet installed it.  It also sounds interesting.   Launching an application and shutting off the PC might be good and useful actions for some people.

I wonder if it would start my coffee in the morning just before I get up?  LOL

I use the timer function to make sure I am not late for work cause I am goofing off on the computer. Automatically turns off my computer every morning, Mon - Fri , at 5:30am.
My cat makes my morning coffee. He has learned that if he doesn't I am not awake enough to feed him...... cat1

If I had to go to work I would definitely need something to get me out of the chair!  Probably having the PC shut down right in my face would do it.  Does it shut it down properly?

You are soooo lucky to have that cat!  LOL
