Thanks Rosalie.  How do you find all of the sources that you reccomend for problems that arise here on PC Talk?  I went to both URLs that yoiu reccomended and read all of the responses.. The more that I read the more I got confused.  So many different answers and so little absorption by me but............I tried one of the reccomendations offered and the one that said to uncheck the "Burn with Nero" box in IO Devices tab in DVD Shrink and it worked.  I have it burned to my "C" Drive.  Now I have to read the Burning with Nero Tutorial before I can go further.  I'll let you know if I'm successful.

So the suggestion to uncheck the "Burn with Nero" box in IO Devices tab in DVD Shrink worked?  That sounds like great news to me...

Applause

Unchecking to "Burn with Nero' corrected the problem.  I now have it on my "C" Drive.  I can go there and play it but...............  I tried burning it to a DVD+RW disk and eventually got an error message.  This has to be a Nero problem because that's what program I'm using to burn it with.  I used a DVD+RW disk because that was what came up at a certain point in my burning process with Nero.  It said to insert a DVD+R or DVD+RW disk in the "D" Drive.  I'll keep on till I get it figured out.  My well pump sprang a leak yesterday afternoon and that is my #1 priority right now.  I'm leaving now to see if I can find a replacement pump.  Got to have that water!

I think I would stick with the DVD+R blank disk.  I have discovered that a RW disk won't always work in other computers.  You would have no reason to add to this disk anyway would you?

That's the pits when what should be a simple process puts a person through a living hell.

I can't believe how on the one hand these burners work so well and easily and then on the other hand can be such picky devils!  There is always a logical explanation but when you don't know what it is it sure isn't hard to get paranoid.

Good luck with the water well, Bobby.  You're right you have to have water!
