When I go to my Start/Programs list QuickTime is listed (See SS #5) but when I click on QuickTime player I get the window shown in SS #3. This is quickly followed by SS #4. When I used Starter to remove the icon from my SystemTray did I inadvertantly remove the shortcut also? What do I need to do now?

I don't know what is going on with ImageShack. I went through the same procedures all three times trying to post my SS #3,4 and 5 but got a different result each time.

Bobby, if you have a shortcut for QuckTime on the desktop or quick launch bar, delete it. (You probably don't and that's ok) Go to Start Programs, find QuickTime, right click it, choose Sent to from the menu and then Desktop.

Let me know if that solves the problem. If it doesn't go back into QuckTime and check that box again to put an icon into your system tray. However, mine is unchecked and it's working fine.

When I go to QuickTime in the programs list and right-click it I get the menu shown in the SS. I even went into the file in Explorer and rt-clicked on the QuickTime Player icon there and chose "create shortcut" and it put a shortcut on my desktop. But it wouldn't go to the QuickTime Player.

Bobby, did you check the square that says "Install QuckTime Icon in System Tray"?

Here is a site that uses QuckTime. See if you can view and navigate it. Let's at least find out if your QuickTime works.
