Paying attention to what I say
Not laughing at or reproaching
Or showing any signs of dismay
Even though I sometimes ranted
And was too stubborn to listen to
A point of view that was also valid
This was certainly not fair to you
But i've learned as I've grown older
Everything is not alway black and white
So the older I get the less I know and
That even you can sometimes be right
