I have been trying to find a free recorder / voice changer that I could record myself or even something that I can type what I want it to say would work.

I need to be able to be able to change the sound of my or the voice to sound male/female Adult/baby/child. Mostly in need of baby/child voices which also sound sad/excited and so on. Would also need to be able to edit to add other sounds like laughing/crying

I am not looking to download wave files from the net I want to make my own.

Oh I only need to be able to save in wav format.

Thanks RB but no thats not what I am looking for although that is cool.

I am looking for something that will record me but change my voice I want to make wav files.

SitePal will allow you to record your own voice but still it might not be what you're looking for.

I looked and looked - guess I was not using the right google keywords I often have trouble finding stuff.

The features are just what I need so I downloaded it played with it a little don't have time to realy get into working with it right now but it looks like what I need. I will work with it more later on today. Smile

Chrissy the sav to wav is under file (export to wav).

Just wanted to say this would be really cute to keep open for a while by young children who don't know they are being recorded. I'll be you could get some really excellent recordings... You can alway edit them later...

LOL its been lots of fun using with my young nephews knowing it on. Will have to upload them.
