This may be old here but it is new to me. A friend emailed me about it and the links went to Kim Komando but I traced it on through to what I think is the original. It looks interesting to play with.

brushlistMyPaint is a fast and easy open-source graphics application for digital painters. It lets you focus on the art instead of the program. You work on your canvas with minimum distractions, bringing up the interface only when you need it.

MyPaint comes with a large brush collection including charcoal and ink to emulate real media, but the highly configurable brush engine allows you to experiment with your own brushes and with not-quite-natural painting. Looks interesting but I think it's beyond my ability. I'm not very artistic.

Please post something you create. You might inspire someone. Maybe even me. LOL

Looks great even can use layers with it. Will make a great free tool for some designers who can't afford to buy Photoshop or Paint Shop pro.
