Giveaway of the Day - Tidy Start Menu 3.4
April 5, 2010Are you tired of searching for programs in a long “Start Menu” list? If so, this program is for you. It allows you to arrange all the shortcuts in the Start Menu.
Your Start Menu looks neat, and you can easily and quickly find any program you want. For example, you can create a special “Games” category, and when opening the Start Menu you will see a “Games” section (instead of a list of the games) in which you will find the game you need.
This is a neat program and may be useful for some people, read the reviews. You can do this manually, which I prefer, but some people may be more comfortable with a program doing it. This poster make a good point AND had a good example of categories to boot:
Sorry – don’t see the point of this?
I have five folders in my Start Menu, (Business, Graphics, Utilities, Personal, Music), and every related shortcut goes into the relevant sub menu. Some submenus even have their own submenus, making navigation simple and exactly as I want it
All versions of Windows have allowed this, (now using Vista and Window 7 on my computers), and never used it any other way.
If you have a lot of programs in you Start Menu this will at least give you an idea of how to organize them for easier access.
