All our local calls now require us to use 1-815 in front of number. This is such a pain. It is hard to remember numbers when you have to dial 11 numbers each time. They say we ran out of numbers but I don't buy it and think 11 numbers is a bit much.

We have been dialing 10 numbers for ages and ages here. First the area code and then the phone number. We have three area codes in our area I think.

Why the 1? Isn't that for long distance? The only time we dial the 1 is if the call is long distance. What number do you use if your making a long distance call?

we dial 1 for long distance too. We have been having to dial 1 815 for a couple years or so.
