It just happened again, the avg link scanner did not detect a malicious link. I clicked on a site the other day and got a malicious site, then closed and reopened the same sight and it was ok. These bad links are beyond avg helping. For all the trouble avg has caused me since downloading this link scanner, I regret I ever did.

Can you uninstall the Link Scanner?

I can't say how well it would have worked on my machine, I didn't install it because I have Avast! and it does a great job of catching bad things on a page. It's already done it several time.

I just reported the site to google. The url is nataleecrafter.fmgfzcdk.tv/uses_of_field_corn.html but don't click on it, and if you do use ctrl alt delete to escape.

It does work sometimes but they are behind in tec I think. I tried that site again and it is infected and avg doesn't see it. Type in "uses for field corn" and you'll see that link about half way down, see if your avast catches it.

Maybe google removed it and that made the server error. I think they are pretty fast about removing those sites once reported.

That sounds pretty scary to see it was a Trojan horse. I may have to go with avast in the future when I get time to uninstall avg on 2 pc's. I am so tired of them. Now that I have everything fixed so it doesn't change my tool bars anymore, I get me pop-ups with offers. They have become so annoying.

Google doesn't have the power to shut down a site. They can block the site on their search engine though. That is not what we are seeing though. The server error could be caused by a hacking of the site and the admin of the site may not even be aware that his/her site has been compromised yet...
