Google Chrome already beating Opera

Maybe Google really does have something here — in just two days, they have leapfrogged Opera in market share, and have their eyes set on bigger fish. I would have thought that Google’s foray into the browser market would have taken a bit more time to develop, but it seems that adoption has been extremely rapid. According to TechCrunch, most users are coming from Internet Explorer, not Firefox.

Microsoft must be worried, or at least they should be — imagine how embarrassing it would be if Google begins to dominate IE in short order, and Microsoft continues to lose search market share regardless how hard they try.

Dang!  LOL  I installed it, accessed RCF and was typing up a long message to you here.  I stopped to examine some of the buttons and options along the top and somehow managed to close myself out!!

It's neat the way it auto imported the bookmark including the personal tool bar along the top.  Only thing is I'm not sure if it got them from Firefox or Seamonkey.  Have to take a good look after while.  After I've posted this message! While they are almost alike Seamonkey has a lot more bookmarks.  All the most recent ones.

I'll let you know later how well I like it.

If you have "always show books bar" checked in the upper right corner it should show a folder - "other bookmarks", and in that drop down it shows where favs were imported from, and can find each site there under each import.

ok i'm having a lot of problems with the text while posting in forums. If i hit the back button I get letters instead of spaces, and forward sometimes eats letters and even pressing "insert" doesn't help. It has a lot of bugs yet. Click on a miss spelling and get weird "inspect element" which gets me a bunch of code stuf.

Well it is in beta still and I'm sure they have a lot of bugs and kinks to work out.  I've used it a little bit and it's ok I guess.  Just that I'm so used to what I've been using that Chrome looks like a big nothing to me.  LOL

I think I'll stick with Seamonkey and will leave Chrome completely alone until it's out of beta at least.

Matter of fact I'm uninstalling it!  It wants to update, or check for an update, several times a day  violent1

Anybody know how to disable that?? I can't find anything in the Options.

Good grief!  Just look where the heck that is buried!  For such a small and simple program it sure has a ton of files and setting.

I don't get the update notices, not a one. Most of the options in gc are hidden but they're there, it just takes time to find. I don't like the favorites, I can type in a few letters, or easialy use any imported menu, but none of their own and that sucks, reminds me of vista with the typing in to get something. Vista is influencing a lot of programs, they think its a good idea, thats geeks for you i guess.
