Kewl, I'm glad they finally got around to correcting the problem.  Now go and create your own database backup so that you can recover yourself if this ever happens again.  You shoudl create database backups on a regular basis, depending on how much data you are willing to lose.  If you can afford to lose a week's worth of posts, then you can get away with creating database backups once per week.  If every post is important, then you might want to create database backups at least once per day...

You should also make sure to download all of your forum files and folders too.  You only need to do that once unless you are making regular coding changes to your files.  IOW, if you make a lot of changes to the code, you should download everything again in order to make sure that your backups are as current as possible...

If you maintain good database and web server backups, then you should be able to recover from any problem that arises...
