I am using avg on 2 computers but I don't know, maybe I shouldn't, I can get mcaffee with my cable for free. I recommended avg to a friend and she recently downloaded ie7 and got a Trojan and has been going trough heck fighting it. She took it in to geek squad and they laughed at using avg. Anyone care to give any input?

All I can say is that I've been using AVG for over 10 years and it has not let me down. Tell the lady not to uses IE for a starter. Second of all she needs a firewall to keep trojans out. I've always used Zone Alarm and it has never let me down. However, and this is a real sore point with me right now, Zone Alarm will not work on a 64 bit system and I'm looking for something else I can use. Right now I'm using the XP firewall.

rb after doing some looking I don't see anything wrong with avg, matter of fact I see a lot of people that know about computers are using it. that geek was gib=ving out bs to make a sale.
